How long will it be before my custom puzzle is shipped?

Once we receive your image, it generally takes between 7 and 10 days to manufacture your puzzle.  However, as the calendar approaches busy seasons (such as November and December) it may take longer due to a seasonal increase in the volume of orders we receive.  It is our practice to inform of any anticipated delay by posting such information on both our home page and at the top of the Custom Puzzle category.  As always, please call (603) 942-5291 with any specific timing questions or concerns.

What are your resolution standards for custom puzzle images?

Generally speaking, uploading the largest file you have of the image (up to 12MB) will produce the best results.  Because every digital camera formats image files differently, we are unable to give generic resolution advice.  For example: One camera may format an image at 72 dpi and take only 30 kb of space, but because the viewable size of the image is greater than the dimensions of the puzzle desired no pixelation will occur when we reproduce the image at the puzzle size.  However, another image file may be formatted at 300 dpi and take multiple MB of space but still result in unacceptable pixelation because the viewable size is very small and cannot be enlarged enough for the desired puzzle size.  Quality is of utmost importance to us, be assured that we check every image for pixelation before printing your puzzle and will contact you promptly if there is a problem with your image file.

What file extension (i.e. .jpg, .bmp, etc) should the image have?

The graphics software we use is able to read most image formats.  The most common file extensions for images are .jpg, .jpeg, .tiff, .pdf, .gif, and .bmp.  Changing the format of a file can affect the resolution of the image; for best results, keep the original format at the highest quality.  We will contact you if there are any issues processing your image.

How can I be sure that you received my image?

When you click the 'Upload Image' button after completing the form and selecting the image file from your computer, the image file is copied to our server where we can then retrieve it to complete your order.  After the image has uploaded successfully, a page will display to thank you for your interest in a Custom Puzzle and allow you to continue placing your order by clicking 'continue.'

Why doesn't my image show after I upload it?

Currently, we do not have the capability to display a preview of the uploaded image.  Once you see the page thanking you for your interest, feel assured that there is now a copy of your image file on our server.

Where can I preview my image as a puzzle?

We cannot currently display a preview of your image as a puzzle.  We apologize for any disappointment this may cause.  Sample piece shapes can be viewed by viewing desired puzzle size.

How can I order different sized puzzles of the same image? Do I need to upload the image more than once?

There is no need to upload an image more than once.  On the upload form there is a place to enter 'additional information' please use that space to indicate which sizes you would like from that image.  Also, make sure there are the correct quantities of each puzzle size on your order when you checkout.  For example:  You would like one 1000 piece Custom Puzzle for you and one 175 piece Custom Puzzle for your grandchild both made from the same image of your cat enjoying herself in the yarn box.  Upload the image just once, but specify in the 'additional information' section that this image will be used for both puzzles on your order.  Then add one 1000 piece Custom Puzzle and one 175 piece Custom Puzzle to your shopping cart, as well as anything else you would like to order, and continue as you normally would.

Is there a discount if I order more than one puzzle?

Provided that both the piece count and the image are identical, we do offer quantity discounts.  Two or three identical puzzles will qualify for a 10% discount, four to six identical puzzles will qualify for a 15% discount, and seven or more identical puzzles will qualify for a 25% discount.  Quantity discounts do not apply to shipping.  To place orders that qualify for quantity discounts, please upload the image as you normally would, but call (603-942-5291) to complete your order to insure that costs are calculated correctly.
